Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Motorcycle Service Writer to join our fast-paced dealership team! In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers bringing their motorcycles in for service, ensuring a seamless and positive experience from start to finish. Your expertise will help bridge communication between customers and our skilled technicians, accurately documenting vehicle issues, recommending necessary repairs, and providing exceptional customer service. Duties

Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to understand their motorcycle service needs
Write detailed service estimates and repair orders using auto estimating software
Communicate effectively with technicians regarding vehicle diagnostics, repair procedures, and parts requirements
Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, brake repairs, suspension work, and other motorcycle maintenance needs
Manage cash handling transactions accurately and process customer payments efficiently
Keep customers informed about repair progress and explain technical issues in clear, understandable language
Coordinate with parts department to ensure timely availability of necessary components
Maintain organized records of all service transactions, customer interactions, and vehicle histories
Promote dealership services by identifying opportunities for additional sales and building long-term customer relationships

Requirements

Proven dealership experience or auto service management background preferred
Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and motorcycle-specific repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repair, suspension, tire service, shocks & struts, air brakes, alignment, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair
Experience working with automotive estimating tools and understanding of automotive service processes
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
Mechanical knowledge of motorcycles is highly desirable; mechanic experience is a plus
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with auto sales processes and vehicle maintenance procedures is advantageous
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
