About Us

EMC - more formally known as European Motorcars is an established independent automotive dealership located in Middletown, Connecticut. Our operations include Pre-Owned Sales, EMC Service Center, and EMC Collision Center - all part of the EMC Companies.

Together, our three businesses provide quality pre-owned vehicles, automotive maintenance and repair, and professional collision repair services.

We are looking for an experienced, creative, and results-driven Marketing Manager to lead and execute marketing initiatives across all three divisions.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys both developing marketing strategies and rolling up their sleeves to make things happen.

Position Overview

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and measuring marketing initiatives across our vehicle sales, service, and collision repair operations.

We are looking for someone who can think strategically but is equally comfortable creating content, managing social media, coordinating advertising vendors, and working directly with our management team.

The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, tastefully creative, analytical, and capable of taking ownership of our day-to-day marketing efforts.

This is not simply a social media posting position. We want someone who understands how marketing produces customers, appointments, and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans for all three EMC divisions.
Manage marketing calendars, budgets, promotions, and advertising initiatives.
Coordinate with outside digital advertising, SEO, website, and inventory marketing providers.
Evaluate vendor performance, recommend and implement improvements.
Work closely with ownership and department managers to identify growth opportunities.
Provide regular reports on marketing activity, customer leads, conversions, and results.

Digital Marketing & Advertising

Oversee Google Ads, Meta advertising, local SEO, and online marketing campaigns.
Monitor website(s) performance, search visibility, and lead generation.
Coordinate vehicle inventory marketing and online merchandising incl. photo shoots.
Manage Google Business Profiles and online reputation initiatives.
Help develop email and customer retention campaigns.

Social Media & Content Creation

Develop and manage social media content across Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant platforms.
Photograph and film vehicles, service activities, collision repairs, employees, and company events.
Create engaging short-form videos, promotional graphics, and advertising content.
Write compelling social media posts, website content, and marketing communications.
Maintain a consistent professional image and brand identity across all three businesses.

Marketing Performance & Reporting

Track marketing effectiveness and advertising expenditures.
Monitor lead generation, customer inquiries, appointments, and conversion performance.
Establish meaningful marketing KPIs for vehicle sales, service, and collision repair.
Prepare monthly performance summaries with recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of hands-on marketing experience.
Demonstrated experience managing digital advertising, social media, and marketing campaigns.
Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and SEO fundamentals.
Experience with photography, video creation, and editing tools.
Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar creative software.
Strong writing, communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.
Experience coordinating agencies, vendors, and advertising budgets.
Comfortable analyzing campaign performance and presenting recommendations.

Automotive industry experience is preferred but not required. Experience in retail, automotive or another customer-focused business is valuable.

What We're Looking For

We want a hands-on marketing professional who can take ownership of our marketing efforts.

You should be comfortable developing a strategy in the morning, filming a promotional video in the afternoon, meeting with an advertising vendor, and reviewing campaign performance.

We're looking for someone who takes initiative, brings fresh ideas, follows through, and understands that successful marketing must contribute to business growth.

Compensation & Opportunity

Annual salary: $75,000–$90,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
Potential performance-based bonus.
Opportunity to lead marketing for three established automotive businesses.
Direct access to ownership and the ability to influence marketing strategy and business growth.
Collaborative work environment with opportunities for professional development.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume along with a brief description of marketing campaigns or projects you have personally managed.

We strongly encourage applicants to include examples of social media content, videos, digital campaigns, or other marketing work.

Candidates selected for an interview may be asked to discuss how they would approach marketing our vehicle sales, automotive service, and collision repair operations.
