Job Overview
We are seeking an EXPERIENCED , highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto service management and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires excellent leadership abilities, mechanical knowledge, and the capability to manage a team of service technicians effectively. The Automotive Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the service department, ensuring high-quality repairs and maintenance while driving sales through upselling and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Supervise and train service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
Oversee vehicle maintenance tasks including oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, alignments, and suspension work.
Utilize mechanical knowledge to assist with complex automotive repairs and diagnostics as needed.
Implement effective upselling strategies to maximize service sales while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring a positive experience throughout their service visit.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, including auto estimating and service writing documentation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies within the service department.
Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall dealership performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

Previous experience in an automotive dealership or service management role is preferred.
Strong background in automotive repair with hands-on mechanic experience is essential.
Proficient in automotive diagnostics with a solid understanding of vehicle systems including transmissions, diesel engines, air brakes, shocks & struts, and auto body repair.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to customers.
Experience in cash handling and automobile sales is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.

Pay: $135,000.00 - $152,000.00 per year
