AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR TECHNICIAN

Motorworks Northwest is a well-established, family-owned independent automotive repair facility

looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team. We're not looking for a parts changer. We're looking for a skilled technician who takes pride in diagnosing and repairing vehicles correctly, communicates well with coworkers, and enjoys working in a professional, drama-free environment. What We're Looking For:

Minimum 5 years automotive repair experience preferred
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Must own and know how to use professional automotive tools
Comfortable using computers, scan tools, service information systems, and digital inspections
Excellent communication skills with service advisors and office staff
Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
Positive attitude and strong work ethic
Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair domestic and import vehicles
Perform quality inspections and maintenance services
Use scan tools and service information systems efficiently
Clearly document findings, recommendations, and repairs
Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding vehicle needs
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Continue learning as vehicle technology evolves

Preferred Qualifications

Experience diagnosing and repairing domestic and import vehicles
European vehicle experience is a plus but not required
Strong electrical and drivability diagnostic skills
ASE certifications are appreciated but not required for the right candidate
