Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead our marine service department. The ideal candidate will possess extensive dealership experience and a strong background in auto service management, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. This role requires a deep understanding of boat/yacht diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance, along with excellent leadership and sales skills. As a Service Manager, you will oversee daily operations, coordinate service technicians, and drive business growth through upselling and superior customer service.

Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the automotive service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Supervise and support service technicians, including mechanics and diagnostic specialists, to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
Oversee boat/yacht repairs and other marine services.
Implement and monitor service writing processes and upselling to maximize revenue opportunities.
Ensure all services meet safety standards and quality expectations while adhering to manufacturer specifications.
Maintain excellent customer relations by providing transparent communication, resolving issues promptly, and promoting repeat business.
Handle cash transactions accurately and manage boat/yacht repair orders efficiently.
Coordinate with parts departments to ensure availability of necessary components for repairs.
Drive business growth through effective sales techniques and promoting additional services .

Requirements

Proven dealership experience with a strong background in marine/boat service management is essential.
Extensive knowledge of marine diagnostics, mechanical repair, and maintenance procedures.
Experience in service writing, upselling techniques, and yacht sales.
Familiarity with a wide range of boat systems.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team of technicians.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff alike.
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
Mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience as a service technician is highly desirable.
Boat repair/RV repair experience across various systems enhances your ability to manage complex repair scenarios effectively.
