Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead our automotive service department with enthusiasm and expertise. Responsibilities

Oversee all day-to-day shop operations.
Monitor workflow from vehicle check-in to final delivery.
Ensure proper scheduling and load balancing between advisors and technicians.
Maintain efficient car count and protect ARO targets.
Identify and remove bottlenecks in production.
Serve as the communication hub between Service Advisors and Technicians.
Ensure repair plans are clearly communicated and approved.
Resolve workflow conflicts quickly and professionally.
Maintain alignment between sales goals and production capacity.
Promote a unified, team-first culture across departments.
Track and manage:
Car count
Average Repair Order (ARO)
Gross profit
Technician efficiency & productivity
Hold team members accountable to performance benchmarks.
Lead weekly performance and production meetings.
Support technician development alongside shop leadership.
Conduct performance reviews and ongoing feedback.
Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and professionalism.
Handle escalated customer concerns.
Monitor follow-up processes and retention efforts.
Protect and elevate the TLC auto & Truck Center brand reputation.
Develop and refine SOPs
Improve shop throughput and vehicle cycle time.
Coordinate with Dispatcher and Porter roles to maximize technician productivity.
Implement operational improvements to support sustainable growth and long-term scalability

Qualifications

Proven min 5 years dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management.
Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems including transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and diesel engines.
Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive repair processes is highly desirable.
Demonstrated ability in auto estimating, service writing, and upselling techniques to enhance revenue streams.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate a team of technicians and service advisors while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
