Lawn Mowing Equipment
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager with a strong understanding of the Equipment Sales and Service industry to lead a team of 15+ individuals at our Commercial Mowers and Tractor Dealership in Paris, Texas.
This is an in-person position requiring a minimum of 4 days per week in our Paris office. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader with a proven track record in sales management, operational efficiency, and customer relationship building, specifically within the lawn care equipment sector. Experience working with major lawn care equipment vendors is highly desired.
Compensation:
$65,000 salary + bonus
Responsibilities:
- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of sales professionals, service technicians, and administrative staff.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and increase market share. This includes direct sales efforts and managing the sales team.
- Manage all aspects of daily operations, including inventory control, service scheduling, and customer service.
- Create and manage budgets, control expenses, and maximize profitability.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business. This includes direct customer interaction and relationship management.
- Develop and execute marketing plans to promote our products and services, leveraging your existing industry knowledge.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities, particularly within the lawn care equipment market.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee vendor relationships and negotiate contracts, leveraging your established network and familiarity with major lawn care equipment vendors.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, tracking key performance indicators.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new products, and technologies within the lawn care equipment sector.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales management within the lawn and garden, equipment sales, or auto dealership industry preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent sales skills and a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Knowledge of operations, inventory management, and service management related to lawn care equipment.
- Strong customer service orientation and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Demonstrable familiarity with lawn mowing equipment and related technologies.
- Understanding of financial management, marketing, and business strategy.
- Ability to work in-person at our Paris, Texas, office a minimum of 4 days per week and remotely on the remaining days. May be required to be in person on some Saturdays.
- Experience working with major lawn care equipment vendors is highly desired.
