Overview
D*omestic dealership is looking for a driven, experienced, and highly organized Parts Manager* to lead our parts department. As a key leader in our dealership, you will be responsible for maximizing parts sales, managing inventory efficiency, and ensuring the highest level of support for our service department and retail customers.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Oversee all aspects of the parts inventory, including ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing parts and accessories to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimize obsolescence.
- Team Leadership: Hire, train, motivate, and supervise a team of parts specialists to ensure they meet sales targets and adhere to company policies.
- Financial Performance: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability of the parts department, including promotions and effective pricing strategies.
- Operational Efficiency: Monitor and analyze inventory reports, adjust stock levels as needed, and ensure the organization of parts inventory for maximum efficiency.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, handle complex or pressing customer issues, and assist clients in finding the parts they need.
- Vendor Relations: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, manage delivery schedules, and resolve any issues or disputes.
- Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all company policies and industry regulations, and prepare accurate monthly and annual parts sales reports.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate's degree or technical certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Parts Manager, Assistant Parts Manager, or in a similar leadership role within the automotive industry.
- Deep knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and inventory monitoring principles.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- A proven track record of meeting sales targets and performance goals is preferred.
