Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Shop Foreman to lead and oversee daily operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. As Shop Foreman, you will be required to monitor all aspects of shop fabrication including Fitting, welding, preparation of all parts and loading of trucks. Must have at least 10 years fitting & layout experience, welding experience a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fabrication activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, project timelines, and quality standards.
- Read shop drawings and details thoroughly to guide crew effectively and ensure precise execution of work.
- Manage shop resources including equipment, materials, and labor to optimize productivity.
- Conduct regular safety inspections in compliance with OSHA regulations; enforce safety policies and conduct toolbox talks to promote a safety-first culture.
- Oversee quality control processes by inspecting work for compliance with specifications, schematics, and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising a fab shop with a strong understanding of fitting, layout and welding for Commercial Construction projects
- Demonstrated ability with hand tools, overhead cranes, fork lifts, CNC equipment experience a plus
- Supervising experience with a track record of leading teams safely and efficiently on complex projects.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and best practices for onsite safety compliance.
- Skilled in using schematics and technical drawings; familiar with the use of measurement tools like tape measures and calipers.
- Strong management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
