Job Summary: This pivotal role involves leading the dealership’s sales team to achieve high-end sales targets through strategic planning, customer engagement, and effective management. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced retail environment, leveraging their expertise in automotive sales (finance experience is a plus), B2B relationships, and team leadership to drive dealership success.
Pay Range: Up to $150,000 per year and above (salary plus commission/bonuses based on job performance).

Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and motivate the sales team to meet and exceed monthly sales goals for Volkswagen vehicles.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the dealership’s market share within the local community and beyond.
- Manage the entire sales pipeline from lead generation through closing deals, ensuring a seamless customer experience.
- Utilize CRM software to track customer interactions, follow up on leads, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
- Conduct B2B sales efforts by establishing relationships with clients and buyers to increase high-end vehicle sales.
- Oversee inventory management and control to ensure optimal stock levels of Volkswagen models aligned with market demand.
- Engage in negotiation with customers and business partners, employing interpersonal communication skills and public speaking abilities to close high-value deals.
- Support upselling strategies by identifying customer needs and presenting tailored vehicle options that maximize dealership profitability.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette and customer service standards during outbound calls, ensuring positive brand representation.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns that attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Job Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Associate’s degree or commensurate sales management experience.
- Proven experience in automotive sales management, preferably within a dealership environment specializing in Volkswagen or similar brands.
- Strong background in vehicle sales, B2B sales, retail sales, and high-end vehicle transactions.
- Exceptional negotiation skills combined with interpersonal communication and public speaking abilities.
- Multilingual or bilingual skills are advantageous to serve diverse customer bases effectively.
- Proficiency with CRM software (ex: eLeads), inventory management systems, and retail math calculations.
- Demonstrated success in building a robust sales pipeline through cold calling, outbound sales, and marketing initiatives.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Knowledge of automotive inventory control, dealership operations, and customer service standards.
Skills Requirements:
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Advanced ability to operate a Dealer Management System.
Communication Skills:
Ability to understand and follow instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and company personnel. Excellent interpersonal and persuasive selling skills.
Attendance Expectations:
The position requires regular and predictable attendance. Scheduled shifts may include evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. Must be able to lift up to 5 pounds.
Environment Demands:
Duties are performed throughout the premises, both indoors and outdoors and on customer test drives. Due to the nature of the position, employee may be exposed to various work environments and required to perform a variety of tasks. Work includes frequent movement around the company facilities and the outdoor car lot to interact with customers and other departments.
Verbal and Writing Ability:
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other employees.
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
