Position Summary
IV Auto is seeking a motivated and experienced Finance & Insurance (F&I) Manager to join our dynamic sales team. In this role, you will be responsible for presenting and selling Honda Care extended warranties, GAP protection, and other aftermarket products to customers purchasing new and pre-owned vehicles. You will also play a key role in securing financing through our trusted lender network, ensuring compliance, and delivering a transparent, customer-first experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Present, promote, and sell OEM warranties and other approved extended service contracts, GAP coverage, and protection products such as paint/fabric protection, tire & wheel coverage, and theft deterrent systems.
- Tailor F&I product offerings to meet the unique needs of each customer, ensuring value and long-term satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the sales team to integrate F&I offerings seamlessly into the buying process.
- Submit credit applications through platforms such as DealerTrack and RouteOne to a wide array of lender partners.
- Analyze credit reports to secure the best financing or leasing terms available for each customer.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Consumer Financial Service programs and third-party lender criteria.
- Prepare and review all documents related to finance, leasing, and product contracts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local regulatory requirements including the Truth in Lending Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and other applicable laws.
- Maintain proper documentation and follow internal procedures for deal auditing and recordkeeping.
- Create a professional, welcoming, and pressure-free environment for every customer during the F&I process.
- Clearly explain all finance terms, product options, and coverage details to enhance trust and satisfaction.
- Respond promptly to customer questions and concerns regarding finance or protection products.
- Meet and exceed Imperial Valley Auto’s monthly goals for product penetration, finance income per vehicle, and customer satisfaction scores.
- Maintain and report on performance metrics for F&I products and lending activity.
- Participate in OEM and dealership-specific training to stay current with F&I best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and drug screen.
- 3+ years working as a Finance Manager/ Producer in a OEM franchised automotive dealership.
- Automotive Sales experience of 3-5 years, prior to Finance experience, required.
- Strong knowledge of F&I products, lender guidelines, and dealership operations.
- Proficiency with CDK, DealerTrack, RouteOne, and DMS platforms.
- Exceptional sales, communication, and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and dedication to providing an exceptional customer experience.
