Job Summary
A north metro dealership is seeking an experienced and driven Automotive Parts & Service Director to lead and oversee all fixed operations within our dealership. This role is responsible for maximizing profitability, improving operational efficiency, developing team members, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader in dealership fixed operations with strong experience in service, parts, and performance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all operations of the Service and Parts Departments
- Drive profitability and growth of fixed operations
- Develop and manage, advisors, technicians, and parts staff
- Monitor and improve KPIs including:
- Effective labor rate
- Technician productivity & efficiency
- Parts gross profit
- Customer satisfaction (CSI)
- MPI and Video MPI process
- Implement strategies to increase service traffic and retention
- Maintain strong relationships with OEMs and vendors
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, manufacturer standards, and safety regulations
- Manage department budgets and forecasting
- Lead hiring, training, and performance development of staff
Qualifications
- 5+ years of automotive fixed operations leadership experience
- Experience as a Service Manager, Parts Manager, or Fixed Operations Director
- Strong understanding of dealership service and parts financials
- Proven ability to improve profitability and efficiency
- Excellent leadership and team development skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Experience with dealership management systems (Dealertrack, XTime)
