Responsibilities

Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery.
Supervise and train service staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Oversee automotive diagnostics, ensuring accurate assessments and effective solutions for customers.
Handle service writing tasks, including documenting customer concerns, repair recommendations, and service history.
Collaborate with sales teams to align service offerings with customer needs and business goals.
Maintain knowledge of diesel engine repair, air brake systems, brake repair techniques, and other relevant mechanical skills.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and company policies while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance satisfaction and loyalty.

Requirements

Proven experience in an automotive service management role or similar capacity.
Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in automotive diagnostics, diesel engine repair, air brake systems, and brake repair.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to transmit information clearly to both customers and team members.
Proficiency in service writing and managing service department operations effectively.
A background in sales within the automotive industry is preferred but not mandatory.
Ability to lead a team while fostering a positive work environment focused on customer satisfaction.
Relevant certifications or training in automotive technology are advantageous.
