Position Summary
TP Trucking & Logistics is a privately owned flatbed carrier seeking an experienced
Lead Body Shop & Commercial Truck Estimator. This role oversees body and paint operations for heavy-duty trucks and trailers and requires strong leadership and insurance-level estimating experience within the commercial trucking industry.
Reporting to the Superintendent of Maintenance, the Lead will manage technicians, workflow, estimates, and parts to ensure safe, timely, and compliant repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Write insurance-level collision estimates for commercial trucks and trailers
- Lead the body and paint technicians (Painting Experience needed)
- Manage work orders, parts procurement, and shop inventory
- Oversee invoicing and customer/insurance coordination
- Ensure safety, quality, and DOT-compliant repairs
- Maintain shop organization and cleanliness
Qualifications
- Experience with commercial truck and trailer body paint/repair and estimating
- Knowledge of the commercial trucking industry
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and work on feet for extended periods
- Required use of PPE (safety glasses, boots, hearing/respiratory protection)
