We are seeking a dynamic and high-performing GSM/Sales Manager to lead our automotive dealership’s sales team in the vibrant South Bay Area. Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve and surpass monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals through effective coaching and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans focused on high-end automobile sales, expanding the dealership’s market share in the South Bay Area.
- Manage the entire sales pipeline, from prospecting and cold calling to closing deals, ensuring consistent lead generation through outbound sales efforts.
- Cultivate strong B2B relationships with local businesses and community organizations to generate new dealership opportunities.
- Oversee inventory management and control processes to ensure optimal stock levels of high-demand vehicles while supporting inventory turnover goals.
- Utilize CRM software to track customer interactions, manage follow-ups, and analyze sales data for continuous improvement.
- Conduct engaging public speaking events and marketing initiatives to promote dealership offerings and enhance brand visibility.
- Support upselling strategies by identifying customer needs, presenting tailored solutions, and maximizing revenue opportunities.
- Maintain excellent phone etiquette and communication skills to provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns that attract high-end clients and boost retail sales.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies, inventory control standards, and retail math principles to optimize profitability.
Experience
- Proven success in automotive or retail sales management with a strong track record of exceeding targets in high-performance environments.
- Extensive experience in outside sales, B2B negotiations, cold calling, and outbound sales strategies.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a robust sales pipeline using CRM software tools effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is highly desirable for engaging diverse clientele.
- Background in dealership operations including inventory management, retail math, and customer service excellence.
- Experience conducting public speaking engagements or marketing events that drive customer engagement and brand awareness.
