Craig Smith Chevrolet is seeking an experienced, driven, detail oriented, and motivated Parts Manager to lead and grow our Parts Department at a well established, family owned Chevrolet dealership.

This position plays a critical role in dealership profitability by supporting Fixed Operations, inventory management, wholesale growth, technician productivity, and overall customer satisfaction. This position reports directly to the Service Director and works alongside a Parts Advisor within the department.

The ideal candidate is proactive, assertive, sales focused, and able to take ownership of the department while helping drive profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction without requiring constant direction.

The ideal candidate will have previous automotive dealership Parts Manager experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven understanding of inventory control, dealership operations, wholesale growth, and team development. Experience supporting collision or body shop parts operations is also preferred.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all day to day Parts Department operations including retail, wholesale, collision, and internal service support
- Lead, coach, and develop parts personnel to drive accountability, productivity, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain accurate inventory levels while balancing availability and inventory control
- Monitor and improve departmental performance including gross profit, inventory turns, and obsolescence
- Work closely with Service Department leadership, technicians, and body shop personnel to support workflow and efficiency
- Grow wholesale and collision parts business through relationship building, follow up, and customer service
- Drive departmental sales growth while maintaining strong operational processes
- Ensure accurate receiving, stocking, ordering, returns, and warranty parts processing
- Maintain OEM standards and dealership operational expectations
- Utilize dealership systems and manufacturer resources efficiently including Dealertrack and GM GlobalConnect
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional Parts Department environment
Qualifications
- Previous automotive dealership Parts Manager experience required
- General Motors or Chevrolet dealership experience strongly preferred
- Collision or body shop parts experience preferred
- Dealertrack experience preferred
- GM GlobalConnect experience preferred
- Strong understanding of dealership inventory management and parts operations
- Proven leadership, communication, organizational, sales, and customer service skills
- Strong work ethic with the ability to stay focused and self motivated in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work well with customers, coworkers, technicians, vendors, and management
- Financial understanding of departmental profitability and inventory management
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record required
- Must be able to pass a background check
