Job Summary
The next leader of our sales floor will exhibit the energy and customer service skills necessary to train and support a team of sales professionals, while delivering a luxury experience to our clients. We are looking for a sales manager who is exceptional at desking and closing deals and who can step in occasionally to assist with Finance when needed. The ideal candidate has experience in both new and used vehicles and is talented in appraising trades. The ability to structure a winning strategy for handling leads and using a CRM to its fullest extent are a must. Experienced in marketing and social media, the sales manager will lead digital strategy for the showroom. The sales manager will set the culture of the showroom, instilling the importance of honesty and integrity in every transaction, while being willing to step in and shepherd each opportunity to create a customer for life.
Responsibilities
· Coaching- train and motivate team members to follow the proper road to the sale and deliver an outstanding experience to every customer, every time. Oversee all paperwork from a compliance and legal standpoint. Willing and able to assist sales team members with any portion of customer interaction.
· Analysis- identify how to drive showroom traffic and handle leads in an effective and professional way. Stays abreast of incentive and marketing messages and contributes to the dealership's plan to generate traffic. Understands supply/demand and orchestrates efforts to manage inventory and procure the best vehicles for sale. Able to recognize opportunities for growth, an effective sales manager creates action plans to deliver results and follows up to inspect expectations.
· Liaison- create strong inter-departmental relationships, serving as the showroom point of contact for all other departments.
· Compliance- understands federal, state and OEM regulations and ensures compliance in every transaction.
· Accounting- is steadfast in properly booking and documenting every deal in accordance with accounting policies. Protects all company assets and is actively involved in expense control and expense forecasting.
Skills
· Sales Process- talented in deal creation and the ability to assist sales team with closing deals. The sales manager is adept in presenting multiple payment options and is capable of assisting with financing options when needed.
· Used Vehicles- has a deep understanding of appraisal, trade, auction, recon and wholesale activities
· Communication- has exceptional and professional communication skills with team members, co-workers and customers alike.
· Excitement- is able to create an environment of inclusivity and excitement.
