Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our fast-paced Automotive Repair team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking automotive repairs and maintenance services. Your enthusiasm, mechanical knowledge, and exceptional communication skills will ensure each customer receives a seamless, positive experience. You will coordinate vehicle repairs, provide accurate estimates, and promote additional services to enhance vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to blend technical understanding with sales expertise in a lively, supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain repair procedures, estimated costs, and timelines clearly and transparently
- Collaborate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Generate accurate auto estimates using shop management software and auto estimating tools
- Upsell appropriate maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brake repairs, suspension work, and transmission services
- Maintain detailed service records and update customers on progress throughout the repair process
- Handle cash transactions, process payments accurately, and manage service write-ups efficiently
- Promote automotive diagnostics to identify underlying issues and recommend necessary repairs or upgrades
- Assist in vehicle inspections for mechanical issues including diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs
- Support sales efforts by providing knowledgeable advice on automobile features and financing options when applicable
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience as an Automotive Service Advisor or similar role
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, repair procedures, and mechanical systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, tires, oil changes, and diesel engines
- Experience with auto service management software and auto estimating tools
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Mechanical experience or background as a service technician is highly desirable
- Familiarity with automotive repair specialties such as auto body repair, alignment, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and tire service
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to handle cash transactions accurately

Pay: $35,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
