About the Opportunity
The Site Technical Services Manager plays a key role in overseeing on-site support for chemical product and technical services delivery to customers. In this role, you’ll be embedded at a customer manufacturing site, serving as the on-site technical resource for process utilities, water systems, and related chemical programs.
This is a hands-on individual contributor role with high visibility on the plant floor. You’ll monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, coordinate with service partners, and help ensure critical plant systems operate reliably.
What You’ll Do
- Serve as the on-site technical contact for chemical programs, utility systems, and related plant support activities
- Monitor performance of process and utility systems, including water treatment, cooling, and other plant infrastructure
- Conduct regular site walks, inspections, system checks, and follow-up on open items
- Review testing results, operating data, and trends to identify issues and recommend corrective actions
- Support troubleshooting when system performance affects production, quality, environmental compliance, or plant operations
- Coordinate with service partners, internal technical resources, and customer contacts to maintain reliable system performance
- Support documentation, audits, safety procedures, SDS-related processes, and compliance activities
- Communicate issues quickly and clearly to plant contacts and internal stakeholders
- Help identify opportunities to improve reliability, reduce risk, and support total cost of ownership
What You Bring
- Experience in industrial chemical services, water treatment, manufacturing support, utilities, or process systems
- Working knowledge of systems such as cooling towers, boilers, chillers, closed-loop systems, RO/DI water, or process cooling
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret system data, test results, and operating trends
- Comfort working directly on the plant floor in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to build credibility with operations, engineering, facilities, EHS, and customer contacts
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to surfacing and resolving issues
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and follow through on commitments
Preferred Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or a related technical field — or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in industrial chemical management, water treatment, technical service, manufacturing utilities, or a related field
- Experience supporting manufacturing, automotive, battery, chemical, or other process-driven environments
- Familiarity with EHS, SDS, audit, or chemical compliance platforms is helpful
- Prior experience in a customer-facing technical service role is a plus
Pay: $73,000.00 - $93,000.00 per year
