Experienced Auto Detailer & Ceramic Coating Technician - Premium PPF Studio
Exodius Auto Protection is a premium paint protection film, ceramic coating, window tint, and vinyl wrap studio in Alexandria, VA. We work on a range of vehicles from daily drivers to Teslas, Porsches, Range Rovers, and other luxury and exotic cars.
We are hiring an experienced Detailer and Ceramic Coating Technician to join our team.
About the Role
This is a hands-on, all-around position that sits at the foundation of every job we do. You will handle vehicle preparation, apply ceramic coatings, perform paint correction work, move customer vehicles between our two shop locations, support our installers, and interact with customers during vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups.
Required Experience
This is not an entry-level position. We are hiring someone who can step in with existing skill and contribute from day one. Applicants without verifiable professional experience in ceramic coatings and detailing will not be considered.
We are looking for candidates with:
- Professional experience applying ceramic coatings (XPEL Fusion, Gtechniq, Ceramic Pro, or comparable brands)
- Hands-on detailing experience including wash, iron decontamination, clay treatment, and panel wipe
- Working knowledge of paint correction and machine polishing
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-value vehicles with the appropriate level of care
Responsibilities
- Vehicle preparation for paint protection film and ceramic coating installations
- Application of premium ceramic coatings
- Paint correction and machine polishing
- Removal of badges, emblems, and trim parts for prep and wrap installations
- Moving customer vehicles between our two Alexandria shop locations
- Supporting installers with disassembly, taping, prep cuts, and post-install work
- Maintaining clean, organized, customer-ready work areas at both locations
- Greeting customers and conducting vehicle drop-offs and pick-ups
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Reliable transportation to Alexandria, VA
- Professional appearance and demeanor for customer interactions
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused work ethic
Compensation
- $18 to $22 per hour, based on demonstrated experience
- W-2 employment with overtime opportunity built into the schedule
- Clear growth path with corresponding pay increases for advancement into specialist roles
Schedule
Full-time, up to 46 hours per week, Monday through Saturday.
