Job Summary
Progressive, growing Texas automotive group with an exceptional reputation is accepting resumes and currently recruiting. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Parts Manager to oversee all aspects of our dealership's parts department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in inventory management, wholesale parts sales, team leadership, and customer service. This role is responsible for maintaining profitable operations, optimizing inventory levels, supporting service department needs, and growing wholesale parts business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the Parts Department.
- Maintain proper inventory levels and inventory accuracy.
- Develop and grow wholesale parts business and customer relationships.
- Monitor department profitability, sales performance, and key metrics.
- Lead, train, and motivate parts department staff.
- Ensure timely ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of parts.
- Work closely with the Service Department to support repair operations.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and customers.
- Implement processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Manage obsolescence and inventory turns to maximize profitability.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer requirements.
QualificationsRequired
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Parts Manager at an automotive dealership OR Minimum 10 years of experience as a Parts Advisor in a dealership environment
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to manage inventory and departmental profitability.
- Experience working in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred
- Wholesale parts experience strongly preferred
- CDK experience preferred (training available for the right candidate)
- Experience with inventory management systems and dealership operations.
- Knowledge of manufacturer parts programs and dealership best practices.
