Job Overview:
West Loop Auto Spa is seeking a skilled, dependable Automotive Detailer and Ceramic Coating Technician to join our growing team. We are building a premium vehicle-care operation centered on exceptional workmanship, professional service and consistent results.
This position is ideal for an experienced detailing professional who understands that outstanding ceramic-coating results begin with proper preparation and careful attention to detail.
Compensation:
- Full-Service Details: 35%–40% commission
- Ceramic-Coating Services: 18%–25% commission
- Commission percentage is based on experience, workmanship and demonstrated ability
Qualifications:
- Professional automotive-detailing experience preferred
- Experience with machine polishing and ceramic coatings strongly preferred
- Understanding of paint preparation and surface decontamination
- Ability to work safely with dual-action polishers and detailing chemicals
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Dependable, punctual and able to work efficiently
- Valid driver’s license and ability to move customer vehicles safely
- Portfolio or photographs of previous work are encouraged
Responsibilities:
- Perform complete interior and exterior vehicle details
- Wash, decontaminate and prepare vehicles for correction and protection
- Perform clay-bar treatments, polishing and paint correction
- Apply ceramic coatings according to manufacturer specifications
- Shampoo carpets, seats and floor mats
- Clean and condition leather and interior surfaces
- Identify paint defects and recommend appropriate services
- Inspect completed vehicles before customer delivery
- Maintain clean, organized equipment and working areas
- Follow all shop safety and quality-control procedures
