Joe Machens Volkswagen of Columbia is seeking an experienced, organized, and performance-driven Automotive Parts Manager to lead our Parts Department. This position plays a critical role in supporting fixed operations, maximizing departmental profitability, maintaining inventory accuracy, and delivering exceptional internal and external customer service.

Responsibilities

Oversee all daily operations of the Parts Department
Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock and minimal obsolescence
Monitor and control parts gross profit and expense management
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular physical inventories
Develop pricing strategies to maximize profitability while remaining competitive
Ensure timely ordering, receiving, stocking, and distribution of parts
Work closely with Service and Sales departments to support internal repair orders and reconditioning needs
Train, mentor, and lead parts staff to achieve performance goals
Maintain strong relationships with OEM and aftermarket vendors
Ensure compliance with manufacturer policies and dealership standards
Analyze departmental reports and implement strategies for continuous improvement

Qualifications

Previous Automotive Parts Management experience required
Dealership experience strongly preferred (Volkswagen experience a plus but not required)
Strong understanding of inventory management and parts forecasting
Proven ability to manage margins, expenses, and departmental KPIs
Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds, or similar)
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
