Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven General Sales Manager (GSM) to lead the new and pre-owned vehicle sales operations at our Toyota dealership. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proven track record in automotive sales management, and the ability to drive profitability while delivering exceptional customer satisfaction.

The GSM will oversee the sales team, manage inventory strategy, monitor key performance metrics, and ensure compliance with Toyota brand standards.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and motivate the sales management team and sales consultants
Drive new and used vehicle sales performance to meet dealership goals
Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales metrics and KPIs
Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize profitability
Ensure exceptional customer experience and high CSI scores
Work closely with F&I, service, and marketing departments
Recruit, train, and retain top sales talent
Manage inventory levels and vehicle merchandising
Review deals and assist in closing sales when necessary
Ensure compliance with all dealership policies and manufacturer standards
Analyze market trends and competitor activity

Qualifications

5+ years of automotive sales management experience
Prior GSM or Sales Manager experience preferred
Toyota dealership experience strongly preferred
Proven track record of achieving sales and gross profit goals
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Experience with CRM and dealership management systems
Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
