Duties

Assist the Service Manager in coordinating daily service department activities to ensure smooth operations and timely vehicle turnaround
Support service technicians with technical guidance on automotive diagnostics, transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, suspension, and other mechanical repairs
Lead efforts in upselling additional services such as tire service, alignments, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and diesel engine repairs to maximize revenue opportunities
Oversee customer interactions to provide clear explanations of repairs, estimate costs accurately using auto estimating tools, and ensure a positive service experience
Manage cash handling procedures and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records
Assist in training and mentoring team members on automotive repair techniques, service writing, and customer service best practices
Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Requirements

Proven dealership experience or background in auto service management preferred
Strong knowledge of automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension work, tire services, and diesel engines
Hands-on mechanic experience or familiarity with automotive diagnostics is highly desirable
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
Experience with auto estimating software and service writing processes
Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
Knowledge of automotive sales processes is a plus
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ASE certification or equivalent is advantageous
Motivated team player with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
