Position Summary
We are seeking a Service Writer to support the maintenance and repair of our company-owned fleet. This position is responsible for coordinating service work, managing repair documentation, ordering parts, maintaining inventory records, and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule and coordinate maintenance and repair work for fleet equipment.
Create, update, and manage repair orders from start to completion.
Monitor job progress and follow up to ensure repairs are completed in a timely manner.
Communicate with technicians to prioritize work and minimize equipment downtime.
Order parts and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
Accurately document repair descriptions, labor hours, and parts used on repair orders.
Process and invoice completed work orders.
Assist with inventory control and organization of parts and supplies.
Provide support with light mechanical tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of vehicle or equipment maintenance.
Familiarity with parts identification and inventory management.
Basic computer skills and comfort working with maintenance software and office applications.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate effectively with technicians, vendors, and management.
Previous service writing, fleet maintenance, or parts department experience is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday
8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Compensation

Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, and industry knowledge.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
