Overview

We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Sales Manager to help lead our automotive sales team to higher heights. In this pivotal role, driving sales through strategic planning, team leadership, and exceptional customer engagement. You must have 5 years + in a proven new car store with sales leadership resulting in a high level of sales per month of over 100 units a month, combined with strong negotiation skills and a passion for automotive industry sales, with the ability to help train the sales staff. You must be highly organized have the ability to communicate well and treat people kind. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help manage a dynamic sales team, and foster lasting customer relationships in a fast-paced environment. We are family owned and operated in the Spokane Valley. We are in growth mode and have been increasing sales in our market so we need you to add to our already awesome team!

Responsibilities

Help Lead and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and dealership-wide sales goals, focusing on all makes and models and upselling opportunities. Implement effective sales strategies, including outbound cold calling campaigns to expand the dealership’s market presence.
Help manage the entire sales pipeline from lead generation through deal closing, ensuring a seamless customer experience using CRM software supported by technical systems.
Help conduct regular training sessions on automotive sales techniques, inventory management, retail math, and effective phone etiquette to enhance team performance.
Utilize strong negotiation skills during deal closing processes to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintain organized records of all customer interactions, sales activities, and inventory using CRM systems to support ongoing relationship management.
Foster a positive environment that encourages teamwork, professional development, and continuous improvement in public speaking and communication skills.

Qualifications

Proven experience in automotive industry sales with a focus on all units on the ground over 250.
Demonstrated success in high volume store, outbound calling, deal closing, and upselling within a retail or dealership setting.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing a sales team; ability to motivate and develop others effectively.
Excellent negotiation abilities complemented by outstanding communication skills and phone etiquette, well spoken and professional.
Proficiency with CRM software supported by technical systems for customer relationship management (CRM).
Knowledge of inventory management, retail math, automotive marketing strategies, and dealership operations.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Take direction well, be accountable, and hold sales staff accountable.
Be open and willing to be mentored and trained for our process.
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays & late evenings.

Pay: $76,152.39 - $150,000.00 per year
