The Opportunity

The Territory Sales Manager is responsible for driving commercial growth across an assigned metropolitan market and surrounding territories. This role owns the development of the away from home channel, including Office Coffee, Foodservice, Hospitality, Corporate Catering, and strategic local partnerships while serving as the face of BLK & Bold in the market.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute a territory growth strategy.
Prospect and acquire new business across Office Coffee, Foodservice, Hospitality, and Corporate Catering.
Manage distributor relationships through ride-alongs, brand training, and program management.
Execute local sampling events, trade shows, and community activations.
Build relationships with key customers, operators, distributors, and our local community partners.
Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and accurate CRM reporting.
Share competitive insights and customer feedback with leadership.
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales objectives.

QualificationsRequired

Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout assigned territory
Experience using CRM platforms
Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
Ability to lift and transport product for customer meetings and sampling events

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
3+ years of B2B or field sales experience
Experience with Retail, Foodservice, Hospitality, Office Coffee, or beverage sales.
Distributor management experience

Role Description The Territory Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Des Moines, IA, responsible for driving sales growth and brand presence within an assigned geographic area. This role manages relationships with retail partners, distributors, and foodservice accounts, consistently seeking new opportunities and negotiating placements for BLK & Bold products. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting in-person sales meetings, presenting product offerings, monitoring account performance, and executing promotional and merchandising strategies to increase visibility and sell-through. The Territory Sales Manager collaborates with internal teams to share market feedback, support training for partner staff, and ensure high levels of customer service across accounts. This role also requires regular territory travel, accurate reporting on sales activities, and proactive pipeline management to achieve revenue and distribution targets.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and effective presentation abilities.
Candidates should possess proven Sales skills, including prospecting, negotiation, closing, and territory management experience.
Candidates should possess solid Customer Service skills, with a focus on building long-term relationships and resolving issues promptly.
Candidates should possess Training and Sales Management skills, such as coaching partner staff, supporting product education, and overseeing account performance.
Additional beneficial qualifications include experience in consumer packaged goods or beverage sales, familiarity with retail and distribution channels, proficiency with CRM and basic office software, a valid driver’s license for local travel, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
