We are seeking a proven Automotive General Manager to lead dealership operations, drive performance, and build high-performing teams while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Position Summary

At The Herb Chambers Comapanies, the Automotive General Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and profitability of the dealership. This role oversees all departments, ensures operational efficiency, drives revenue growth, and breeds a culture of accountability, integrity, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction across all dealership departments
Drive financial performance by managing budgets, forecasting, expense controls, and revenue growth initiatives
Recruit, develop, coach, and retain top talent while building a high-performance leadership team
Ensure exceptional customer experience standards and strong CSI performance
Establish and enforce operational processes, compliance standards, and company policies
Analyze performance metrics and implement action plans to exceed business goals
Maintain strong manufacturer relationships and ensure compliance with OEM standards
Lead change initiatives and support Asbury’s digital retailing and modernization strategies

Qualifications

3+ years of automotive dealership leadership experience (General Manager or equivalent senior role)
Proven track record of driving profitability and operational excellence
Strong financial acumen and experience managing financial performance
Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Ability to lead in a fast-paced, results-driven environment
Experience working with OEM partners and compliance standards
