Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their service requests.
- Provide clear explanations of required repairs and maintenance, including auto diagnostics, transmissions, brake repair, oil changes, tire service, suspension, shocks & struts, alignment, air brake systems, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair.
- Prepare detailed auto estimating and service writing to ensure transparent communication of costs and scope of work.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance based on vehicle condition assessments to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue.
- Coordinate with service technicians and mechanics to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services.
- Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining a high level of customer service throughout the process.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all service activities, including vehicle history and repair documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience in automotive service management or as a service technician.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various automotive systems such as transmissions, suspensions, brakes, oil changes, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, and auto body repairs.
- Experience with automotive diagnostics and auto estimating software is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and trust with customers.
- Familiarity with automotive repair procedures including air brake systems, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts replacements.
- Cash handling experience coupled with strong organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
