Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Prepare accurate auto service estimates using auto estimating software, explaining repair procedures clearly and transparently
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Upsell additional maintenance or repair services by highlighting benefits aligned with customer needs while maintaining integrity
- Handle cash transactions and process payments efficiently while maintaining accurate records
- Maintain detailed documentation of vehicle diagnostics, repairs performed, parts used, and customer interactions
- Foster strong customer relationships through follow-up calls and ensuring their satisfaction with the service experience
Qualifications
- Proven dealership experience or auto service management background with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, suspensions, brakes, tires, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and alignments
- Experience in automotive repair or as a service technician is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to customers of all backgrounds
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and sales techniques to effectively upsell services
- Familiarity with automotive repair processes such as oil changes, tire services, auto body repairs, and mechanical diagnostics
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while providing professional service at all times
