Honda of Indian Trail is seeking a dynamic, results-driven General Sales Manager to lead and grow a high-potential operation. This store has the infrastructure, market, and inventory access to be a 500+ unit dealership, and we are looking for a proven leader who can take it there.
Position Overview
The General Sales Manager will be responsible for driving significant increases in unit sales, front-end gross, and overall departmental profitability. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows how to structure deals, desk aggressively, hold gross, and build a high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive aggressive growth in monthly unit volume toward 500+ vehicles
- Increase front-end gross and overall sales department profitability
- Lead, motivate, and hold accountable Sales Managers and Sales Consultants
- Establish a strong daily sales process and accountability structure
- Manage inventory mix, aging, and turn to maximize performance
- Work closely with F&I to optimize total deal profitability
- Recruit, train, and develop top-tier sales talent
- Maintain manufacturer standards and high CSI performance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of automotive sales management experience (Honda experience preferred)
- Proven track record of increasing both units and gross
- Strong desking and deal-structuring skills
- High-energy leader with the ability to create urgency and momentum
- Experience operating in high-volume environments
- Deep understanding of KPIs, inventory management, and performance metrics
