Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Store Manager/Service Writer to lead our automotive service department with enthusiasm and expertise. In this role, you will oversee daily store operations, manage a team of service technicians, and ensure exceptional customer service. Your primary focus will be on coordinating vehicle repairs, providing accurate auto estimates, and fostering a positive environment that promotes sales and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine leadership with technical knowledge in a fast-paced automotive setting. This is a salary-plus-bonus position.
Duties
- Manage daily store operations, including scheduling, inventory control, and staff supervision to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service delivery
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing expert guidance on vehicle repairs, maintenance options, and service recommendations
- Oversee the work of service technicians, ensuring repairs such as transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs meet quality standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation for all financial activities
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in service writing and vehicle documentation
- Basic automotive knowledge (tires, brakes, maintenance, etc.)
- Knowledge of cash handling procedures and inventory management in an automotive environment
- Previous automotive service writing, shop management, or automotive experience preferred
- Reliable and professional attitude
