Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and results-driven Automotive BDC (Business Development Center) Manager/Call Center Manager to lead our customer engagement team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the dealership’s BDC, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient communication channels. Your leadership will drive sales, manage a dynamic sales pipeline, and foster a positive environment that motivates your team to exceed targets. The ideal candidate is passionate about automotive sales, possesses strong organizational skills, and understands automotive lead management and lead sources. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape customer interactions, and elevate the dealership’s reputation for outstanding service.
Duties
- Lead and motivate the BDC team to deliver outstanding customer service through inbound and outbound calls, emails, and digital communication channels
- Develop and implement strategic sales initiatives to increase lead conversion rates
- Manage the sales pipeline by tracking prospects, follow-ups, and closing deals efficiently using CRM software
- Manage data mining tools to ensure efficient customer retention
- Train team members on phone etiquette, communication skills, and effective appointment setting techniques
- Assist team memebers in goal setting
- Coordinate with the dealership’s marketing team to align outreach efforts with promotional campaigns
- Oversee inventory management processes related to customer inquiries and vehicle availability
- Conduct regular performance reviews, set individual/team goals, and provide ongoing coaching to improve sales support skills
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, sales activities, and compliance documentation in accordance with dealership policies
- Facilitate public speaking engagements or training sessions to enhance team presentation skills and product knowledge
- Ensure adherence to all dealership policies regarding retail math, inventory control, and customer service standards
Skills
- Proven experience in automotive sales management or call center leadership within a dealership environment
- Excellent appointment setting and confirmation skills
- Multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases
- Proficiency in CRM software for managing sales pipelines and customer data
- Exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple priorities efficiently
- Outstanding communication skills for outbound sales calls, public speaking engagements, and team coaching
- Knowledge of retail math, inventory management, inventory control, and automotive retail operations
- Experience with cold calling techniques and outbound sales campaigns
- Customer service expertise with a focus on phone etiquette and professional interaction standards
- Familiarity with marketing strategies that support lead generation and brand awareness
