Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Automotive General Manager to lead overall dealership operations. The ideal candidate is a results-driven leader with a proven track record in automotive retail management, team development, and financial performance. This role requires strategic oversight of all departments, including sales, service, parts, and finance, while ensuring customer satisfaction and profitability targets are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all dealership operations, including Sales, Service, Parts, and Finance departments
- Drive revenue growth, profitability, and expense control
- Develop and execute strategic business plans to achieve performance objectives
- Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and staff
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement improvement strategies
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and company policies
- Foster a positive, customer-focused culture throughout the dealership
- Maintain strong relationships with OEM partners and vendors
- Manage inventory levels and operational efficiency
- Recruit, train, and retain top automotive talent
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of experience as an Automotive General Manager or General Sales Manager ready for advancement
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving profitability
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills
- Deep understanding of dealership financial statements and performance metrics
- Experience with inventory management and OEM relations
- High level of integrity and professionalism
