What You’ll Do
As the Service Director, you will oversee all aspects of dealership service operations and lead a high-performing service team. Responsibilities include:
- Hire, train, develop, and motivate the service department staff.
- Lead and manage a large team of technicians, advisors, and support staff.
- Forecast department goals and ensure performance targets are achieved.
- Develop and manage service department budgets.
- Drive customer satisfaction (CSI) and profitability.
- Monitor technician productivity and service advisor performance.
- Ensure proper repair techniques and manufacturer standards are followed.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, hazardous waste, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain safe and operational shop equipment.
- Implement training programs to improve service department performance.
- Resolve customer concerns and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Continuously improve service processes, efficiency, and performance.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Automotive Service Management experience.
- Toyota or Lexus dealership experience required.
- Experience managing 20+ employees preferred.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Experience with dealership DMS systems and service reporting tools.
- High-energy personality with a strong work ethic.
- Excellent customer satisfaction skills.
- Valid California driver’s license and clean driving record.
