What you’ll do
- Evaluate vehicle damage and prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software.
- Collaborate with service technicians to determine necessary repairs and parts required for each vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with customers, explaining repair processes and costs in a clear and friendly manner.
- Upsell additional services based on customer needs while maintaining transparency about pricing and options.
- Maintain detailed records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Stay updated on automotive trends, repair techniques, and manufacturer guidelines to provide the best recommendations.
- Assist in managing the workflow of the service department to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Basic qualifications
- Proven experience in auto estimating or a related field within the automotive industry.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and trust with clients.
Preferred qualifications
- Dealership experience is a plus, along with familiarity in auto service management practices.
- Background in sales or upselling additional services effectively to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Experience with various automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspension, diesel engine repair, oil changes, tire service, shocks & struts, alignment, air brake systems, auto body repair, and more.
