This is a blind ad for an Automotive General Manager.
Must have a minimum of 5 years Automotive management experience to qualify.
Responsibilities of this position include:
1. Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily dealership operations (sales, service, parts, finance & insurance).
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor KPIs such as gross profit, inventory turnover, CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index), and expense control.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements and local/state regulations.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Lead vehicle sales strategy (new & used vehicles).
- Monitor pricing, inventory mix, and market trends.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and F&I Managers to maximize gross margins.
- Approve major deals and oversee high-level negotiations when needed.
3. Financial Management
- Analyze financial statements and operating reports.
- Control expenses and improve cost efficiency.
- Manage budgets and forecasts.
- Work closely with the Controller or CFO on financial planning.
4. Customer Experience
- Ensure exceptional customer service across departments.
- Review customer satisfaction scores and address escalated complaints.
- Build long-term customer loyalty programs.
5. Team Leadership & HR
- Recruit, train, and develop department managers.
- Set performance goals and conduct evaluations.
- Foster a high-performance, ethical, and customer-focused culture.
- Ensure compliance with HR policies and employment laws.
6. Marketing & Community Engagement
- Oversee marketing initiatives (digital, traditional, promotions).
- Analyze ROI on advertising campaigns.
- Represent the dealership in community and industry events.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Monitor KPIs such as gross profit, inventory turnover, CSI (Customer Satisfaction Index), and expense control.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturer requirements and local/state regulations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Automotive Management, or related field (preferred).
- 5–10+ years of automotive dealership management experience.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and profit targets.
- Strong financial acumen and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
