Responsibilities
- Manage the entire service department, including scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation to maximize efficiency.
- Lead and motivate a team of service technicians and advisors, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to ensure top-quality work.
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Ensure all service work meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining high levels of quality control.
- Develop and implement upselling strategies to promote additional services and vehicle accessories that enhance customer satisfaction and dealership profitability.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism and transparency; resolve complaints promptly to foster trust and loyalty.
- Oversee auto estimating and service writing processes to accurately document repairs and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle needs.
- Manage cash handling procedures securely while maintaining accurate records of transactions.
- Stay current with automotive industry trends, including new technologies such as automotive diagnostics tools and advanced repair techniques.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive repair including transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, alignments, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and auto body repairs.
- Hands-on mechanic experience coupled with automotive diagnostics expertise to understand complex vehicle issues thoroughly.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing to streamline operations.
- Demonstrated ability in sales techniques including upselling additional services or products effectively.
- Strong mechanical knowledge across various vehicle systems combined with experience in auto body repair processes.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining detailed records.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
