Acura of Pembroke Pines, a dealership in the Craig Zinn Automotive group, is looking for a Sales Associates to join their team.
As a Sales Associate, you are a crucial member of our team striving to deliver a positive car buying/leasing experience to satisfy the transportation needs of customers. The Sales Associate learns and maintains a high level of product knowledge to serve customers in the best way possible. We seek individuals with integrity and a passion for helping others who are eager to take on responsibilities in a front-facing customer role.
Job Summary
The role of the Sales Associate is to sell new or used vehicles to customers by understanding their needs, demonstrating product features, and closing sales, while providing excellent customer service throughout the buying process.
Essential Functions:
- Approaches, greets, and offers assistance or direction to any customer who enters the dealership showroom or sales lot.
- Assists customers in selecting vehicle by asking questions and analyzing carefully to their responses.
- Maintains a high level of product knowledge in order to effectively relay vehicle information, mastering product knowledge of all models.
- Explains product performance, application, and benefits.
- Keep inventory awareness, recommend alternatives if a desired model is unavailable.
- Describes all optional equipment available for customer purchase.
- Offers test drives to all prospects, following the dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customers prior to test drive.
- Sells/leases the minimum number units per month as required by pay plan.
- Exhibits high level of commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Knows and understands equity and values, and is able to explain depreciation to the customer.
- Turns 100 percent of closed deals to finance and insurance manager, along with properly completed paperwork (insurance information, trade title, etc.).
- Writes complete sales orders and processes paperwork in accordance with establishes policies.
- Personalizes deliveries to needs, wants, and time allowances.
- Delivers vehicles to customers, ensuring that the customer understands the vehicle's operating features, warranty, and paperwork.
- Ensures that vehicle is ready for delivery to customer (clean, features are on, etc.)
- Promotes the Service department, emphasizing the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership's service department.
- Follows-up on all post delivery items, tag/title work, "we-owes", and special requests to ensure all customer expectations have been met.
- Maintains a follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
- May utilize a dealership sales control and follow-up system
- May perform other duties as requested.
Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
- Experience with customer service is preferred.
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
- Sales Associates may also be trained for branding certifications.
- Must have a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record which shall be reviewed by Human Resources as needed.

- Ability to converse with customers to discuss needs and direct appropriately within the dealership.

- Basic knowledge or ability to use internet software; spreadsheet software and word processing software.
- Intermediate language capabilities such as the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations, write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals, and effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Intermediate reasoning abilities such as the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, and deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
- Ability to remain calm and in control with difficult situations.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, frequently required to stand and walk, and occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, smell, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
Employee must be able to use different type of equipment and/or tools: computers, printers, staplers, etc.
The employee is expected to make quick decisions, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity objectives and/or sales quota.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to office/indoor conditions with occasional outdoor weather conditions. Using caution while conducting test drives with customers.
The position is expose to dealership showroom and sales lot environment.
Must be able to work evening and weekend hours.
The employee is occasionally exposed to moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
