Sales Business Development Team Lead

To support our growth, Napleton’s Schaumburg Buick GMC is currently accepting applications for a Sales Business Development Team Lead to join our Sales Team.

Job Description:

The Sales Business Development Team Lead (“Team Lead”) is a specialized, highly trained & skilled member of the both the Business Development and Sales Team. The Team Lead is responsible the daily duties of a Business Development Representative (BDR), including but not limited to: answering/responding to all brand-assigned internet leads, distributing leads per the Steve Napleton Auto Group process, performing follow up calls on Internet Leads and recent non-purchase visits, escalating “hot leads” to the appropriate Sales and Management staff with an ultimate goal of Appointments Set, Appointment Shows and Sold Units while providing first class service.

In addition to the daily duties of the BDR, the Team Lead serves as a leader in the Business Development Center. They are responsible for daily productivity reporting, training new hires, coaching team members, assisting with department schedule/coverage, and assists with month-end team reporting/commissions. The Team Lead reports directly to the General Manager.

Aggressive inside sales and/or outbound follow-up experience is a plus. Automotive BDC experience is required, preferably management experience. The Team Lead is a full-time, permanent position and must possess outstanding communications skills, friendly and enthusiastic disposition, the ability to speak articulately, self-motivation, positive and energetic attitude, and display good work ethic.

Responsibilities:

· Manage a small team, ensuring company processes and procedures are followed

· Assisting with BDR schedules, coverage needs

· Responsible for the department’s outcome as well as accomplishing sales goals

· Coach and motivate the team to improved overall performance

· Coaches team about the proper method of handling customers

· Establishes practices/processes that ensures the delivery of exceptional customer service

· Works with sales managers in the coordination of customer attraction strategies

· Oversees hiring and training practices

· Maintaining consistency and accuracy in the customer database tools including but not limited to VinSolutions CRM and manufacturer software

· Greeting and assisting customers on the showroom floor if necessary

Qualifications:

· 2 years of experience in a Business Development management position

· Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience

· Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications

· Knowledge of automotive sales

· Well organized and detailed approach to outcome reporting

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

· Exceptional leadership and management skills

· Effective communication and negotiation skills

· Detail-oriented and persuasive

· Demonstrating an adherence to the Steve Napleton Auto Group business professional dress code as stated in the Employee Handbook and as directed by the Management team
