Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and knowledgeable Service Writer / Mechanic to join our team. This hybrid role combines customer service responsibilities with hands-on mechanical work. The ideal candidate is comfortable communicating with customers, writing service orders, and performing automotive repairs and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed service tickets and provide accurate estimates
- Communicate repair recommendations clearly and honestly
- Perform general automotive repairs and maintenance (tires, brakes, oil changes, diagnostics, etc.)
- Coordinate workflow between front office and shop technicians
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a service writer, mechanic, or in automotive service
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and repair processes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver’s license
