Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen carefully to their vehicle concerns to accurately identify service needs
- Explain repair options, estimated costs, and timelines clearly to customers, ensuring transparency and trust
- Write detailed service orders and estimates using automotive diagnostics knowledge and auto estimating tools
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, or transmission repairs based on customer needs
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain proper documentation for all services performed
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or automotive service management background is highly preferred
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on mechanic experience or service technician background
- Familiarity with automotive diagnostics tools and procedures for various systems including transmissions, air brakes, shocks & struts, and diesel engines
- Experience in auto estimating, service writing, and automotive repair processes
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
- Knowledge of auto body repair procedures, tire service, alignment techniques, suspension work, oil changes, brake repair, and auto sales processes
