Role Overview
We are seeking a proven General Manager to take full ownership of operations for a well-established powersports (ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, side-by-sides) and used vehicle dealership in Mansfield, Ohio.
You will run the complete P&L, lead all departments (sales, service, parts, finance), drive profitable growth, and maintain high standards in a competitive North Central Ohio market. This is a hands-on leadership role for an operator who treats the dealership like their own business.
Key Responsibilities
- Own monthly/quarterly/annual financial performance (gross profit, inventory turns, fixed ops absorption, customer satisfaction scores)
- Recruit, develop, and hold accountable sales, technician, and support teams
- Optimize inventory sourcing, pricing, and turn rates for both powersports and pre-owned vehicles
- Ensure full regulatory compliance (DMV, EPA, OSHA, manufacturer guidelines)
- Execute local marketing and customer acquisition strategies that deliver measurable results
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven General Manager or General Sales Manager experience in powersports, automotive, or heavy equipment retail (multi-line dealership strongly preferred)
- Demonstrated track record hitting or exceeding P&L targets in both variable and fixed operations
- Deep knowledge of floorplan management, used vehicle sourcing (auctions, trade-ins, wholesale), and service department profitability
- Strong leadership skills with ability to coach and retain talent in a smaller-market environment
- Clean background, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass manufacturer background checks
- Local to North Central Ohio or willing to relocate to the Mansfield / Richland County area
