Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Automotive Parts Department Manager to lead our parts department with energy and precision. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily operations of the automotive parts inventory, manage supplier relationships, and ensure seamless procurement and distribution processes. Responsibilities

Lead and supervise the automotive parts team to deliver exceptional customer service and operational excellence.
Manage inventory levels using ERP systems and order management systems to ensure optimal stock availability while controlling costs.
Coordinate procurement activities, negotiate with suppliers, and source OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) parts to secure quality products at competitive prices.
Oversee warehouse management, shipping & receiving, and equipment repair processes, including forklift operation and warehouse experience.
Implement demand planning strategies and utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) tools for maintenance scheduling and inventory tracking.
Develop and enforce inventory control procedures, pricing strategies, and demand forecasting to maximize profitability.
Collaborate with automotive service departments to ensure timely parts availability for repairs and maintenance projects.
Maintain compliance with safety standards such as HVAC regulations where applicable, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
Utilize data entry skills for accurate record keeping, order processing, and reporting on key performance indicators related to procurement, logistics, and inventory management.

Qualifications

Proven dealership or automotive parts department management experience with a strong understanding of parts sourcing, inventory management, and department leadership.
Extensive knowledge of supply chain management, procurement management, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques.
Dealertrack DMS experience is a plus!
Strong warehouse management skills including shipping & receiving procedures, inventory control, and warehouse experience.
Mechanical knowledge related to automotive systems, equipment repair, HVAC systems, and auto body repair is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills combined with data entry accuracy for efficient order processing and record keeping.
