JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Account Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage and oversee key Sales accounts. The position requires primary management of cross functional areas to ensure implementation of key account initiatives.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
· Serves as a primary customer contact for technical and business issues related to the key accounts and territories assigned.
· Fosters and maintains new and existing client relationships.
· Drives the development of new business opportunities through strategic sales planning and coordination of brokers and account salespeople.
· Generates sales action plan and forecasts for accounts based on current data and market conditions.
· Ability to make credible presentations for new product introductions and market trends.
· Well versed in compiling presentations for key account calls.
· Maintains a commitment to the company’s sales processes, values and business code of ethics.
· Assists in resolving any ongoing technical issues with other sales team members and customers, as appropriate
· Attends conventions, conferences, and trade shows as needed; prepares post-event reports and analysis.
· Keeps abreast of market trends in the related field.
· Seeks and creates opportunities to expand business with current clients; and identifies further business needs and develops and presents solutions.
· Grows existing accounts and prospective clients to full potential and generates maximum revenue on a long-term basis.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Follows all safety and food safety Company protocols.
· Reports all safety or quality problems to management, QA, and SQF practitioner.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS and COMPETENCIES:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher is preferred.
· 5–10 years of experience in Sales Management; food ingredient and/or QSR (Quick Service Restaurant) industry experience preferred.
· Strong negotiator with high self‑motivation, strong organizational skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
· Experience selling Major Accounts and National Accounts, with the ability to interface effectively with Marketing, R&D, Operations, and Purchasing.
· Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm and additional days/hours as needed.
Hybrid / Remote position. 25 – 50% travel required.
Initial onboarding period is onsite in Congers, New York.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, utilize hand and finger dexterity.
- Continually required to talk or hear.
- Occasionally required to taste or smell.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
