Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the service department, ensuring timely and quality automotive repairs.
- Supervise service technicians and service advisors providing guidance on best practices. Arrange training to ensure technicians stay up to date on the latest technologies and procedures available.
- Oversee the scheduling of service appointments and ensure proper workflow within the shop.
- Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to promote a seamless service experience for customers.
- Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and diagnostics to provide informed recommendations.
- Work with the Service Director and other service managers on a daily basis to maintain a steady flow of business and address any outstanding issues.
Skills
- Strong background in the automotive management field.
- Experience as a service advisor, shop foreman or service manager is needed.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and dealership personnel
- Strong leadership abilities to manage a team of technicians and advisors while fostering a positive work environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
