We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in preparing vehicles for painting by ensuring surfaces are properly cleaned, sanded, and primed. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a passion for automotive restoration and repair. You MUST have experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify areas requiring repair or restoration.
- Assist in the application of primer and other preparatory coatings as needed.
- Collaborate with auto body repair technicians to ensure all prep work aligns with the overall project goals.
- Utilize various tools and equipment, including airless paint sprayers, to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform buffing and detailing tasks to enhance the final appearance of painted surfaces.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in auto body repair or painting is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential.
- Proficient in buffing techniques and detailing procedures to achieve high-quality finishes.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
