Service Director – Automotive Dealership

A well-established automotive dealership in the Asheville market is seeking an experienced Service Director to lead a high-volume fixed operations department focused on customer satisfaction, operational excellence, employee development, and profitability.

Responsibilities

Lead all aspects of dealership service operations
Drive customer retention and service profitability
Manage and develop service advisors, technicians, dispatch, and support staff
Monitor KPIs including ELR, CSI, productivity, proficiency, and gross performance
Create a culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and exceptional customer service
Ensure compliance with manufacturer standards and dealership processes
Improve workflow efficiency, technician retention, and overall department performance
Work closely with executive leadership to develop strategic fixed operations goals

Qualifications

Previous automotive dealership Service Director or Fixed Operations leadership experience required
Strong understanding of dealership service operations, financials, and KPIs
Proven ability to lead teams and improve department performance
Experience with technician recruitment and retention strategies
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, Dealertrack, or similar DMS experience preferred
OEM dealership experience strongly preferred
