We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Manager to oversee the daily operations of our locally Owned Automotive Repair Shop and help us scale. This pivotal role will drive our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence, ensuring that we continue to meet the diverse needs of our clients. The General Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our business, scaling and enhancing our reputation as a trusted automotive repair shop. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in management, automotive diagnostics, and customer service, ensuring exceptional service quality and operational efficiency. This leadership role requires a comprehensive understanding of automotive repair processes, sales, and team management to drive customer satisfaction and business growth.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise support staff, and service technicians
- Oversee vehicle diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, alignments, suspension work, tire services, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs
- Ensure high standards of quality control and adherence to safety protocols across all service operations
- Develop and implement strategies for upselling additional services and vehicle maintenance packages to enhance revenue
- Handle customer inquiries, resolve service issues promptly, and ensure excellent customer service experiences
- Automotive estimating and service writing processes to accurately document repairs and communicate with customers
- Manage cash handling procedures and maintain accurate financial records for the department
- Recruit qualified Technicians, Train and mentor staff to improve technical skills and customer interaction techniques
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Self Motivated, Enthusiastic, Positive Attitude is a MUST!
- Proven experience in auto service management or automotive repair supervision
- Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, auto body repair, alignment, suspension, tire services, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, brake repair, air brake systems, and other automotive services
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle complex situations professionally
- Experience in upselling services and auto estimating techniques
- Background in mechanic work or service technician roles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes including automobile sales procedures
- Ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation such as service writing and estimates
